The historic Revival-style building once known as the bustling headquarters of the iconic Chicago and North Western Railway is fast becoming one of the larger-scale hotel developments in recent times with the creation of the Canopy by dual brand. Hilton Chicago Central Loop (Canopy Chicago) and Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Central Loop (HGI Central Loop). The stunning new property is slated to open at the end of the summer. The 117-year-old building, located at 226 W. Jackson, will include 350 rooms and suites between the two properties, as well as food and beverage outlets for each – Depot 226 and Garden Central, respectively – both offering specialties. locally inspired and craft cocktails. Additionally, guests of either property will find an on-site fitness center, two unique event spaces, and an outdoor terrace shared between the two. Developed by Chicago-based Phoenix Development Partners and operated by Aimbridge Hospitality, the project is a much appreciated beacon of hope for the Chicago travel industry.

Canopy Chicago will offer 215 guest rooms, including 23 spacious king suites, and 675 square feet of meeting space that can comfortably accommodate up to 48 people. The modern boutique-style concept is designed as a natural extension of the neighborhood and will provide customers with a variety of local experiences. With its prime loop-centric location, Canopy Chicago guests can hop aboard a free Canopy bike parked on the property and explore nearby attractions such as Millennium Park, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Shops on State Street or the Chicago Riverwalk for access to world-class entertainment and culture in minutes.

HGI Central Loop will have 135 guest rooms to retreat to, including six king suites, each with a separate living room. Guests can start their day with a cooked-to-order breakfast or relax with small plates to share, craft cocktails or craft beers at the end of the day. The 624 square foot onsite meeting space will accommodate up to 40 people.

The resort is also a top destination for business travelers, located near many large corporate offices, co-working spaces such as Convene, social centers such as the Metropolitan Club, fine restaurants and award-winning entertainment.
