New management installed at Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach

Melinda Lampier, a resident of the eastern suburbs, has been welcomed to her new role as General Manager of Crowne Plaza Sydney Coogee Beach, one of the property’s two major new appointments.

Lampier will be joined by Benjamin Ferry, who will take on the role of Director of Sales and Marketing for the newly renovated beachfront property.

Lampier and Ferry both bring extensive hospitality experience to their new roles, Lampier having previously held leadership roles at IHG, Starwood and most recently at Accor as Managing Portfolio Manager for the NSW and Victoria properties. . She has also held positions in Vietnam and Thailand in a complete and impressive CV.

Ferry started his career at Accor and also played a major role in rebranding and repositioning The Star in 2011 from its old nickname Star City. In recent years, Ferry has worked with IHG in senior sales positions in Japan, the Middle East and the South Pacific for the InterContinental brand.

“I was born and raised in Bondi so I have a passion for this part of Sydney,” Lampier said.

“I’m a beach lover and this role which takes me back to my roots to help promote one of Sydney’s most recognized beach properties is a career favorite.”

The Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach has 209 completely renovated rooms.

The Crowne Plaza Sydney Coogee Beach is on track with an entire property renovation and refurbishment, with two phases completed including a total revamp of its 209 rooms with a bright, colorful beach and nautical theme that included a total renovation of the bathroom. The lobby has been completely renovated, while new meeting and event spaces and a number of new restaurants have been opened in the complex.

As part of their new roles, Lampier and Ferry will take on additional responsibilities with their roles, including contributing to other properties owned by Salter Brothers such as Voco Gold Coast, Holiday Inn Potts Point, InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto and Crowne properties.
