Naidu condemns atrocious attack by YSRCP councilors on hotel staff in Chittoors Kuppam

Amaravati: National chairman of the Telugu Desam party and former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday condemned the “atrocious attack” by ruling YSRCP advisers on a hotel in Kuppam in Chittoor district . Naidu expressed concern that, like never before, a toxic culture of attack and intimidation has been introduced into the peaceful Kuppam assembly constituency.

In a tweet, the TDP leader called it “unfortunate” that the ruling YSRCP elected officials attacked hotel staff and management simply because there was a shortage of food. They damaged furniture, threatened women and made death threats against hoteliers. Naidu said the police should take immediate action against the culprits responsible for the latest attack on the hotel.

“What were the police doing when the thugs threatened to set fire to the hotel?” He asked.

Chandrababu Naidu said the police had a duty to put a complete stop to criminal activities by taking tough action. He added that the TDP would stand with the aggrieved family who were attacked.
