Hotel management company Valor Hospitality takes over Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh

Valor Hospitality said the move completes a period of rapid growth, with its UK portfolio more than doubling in 2021, having taken over 17 IHG hotels. It has also recently bolstered its business with the addition of two new luxury properties under development, in St Andrews and Northern Ireland.

Taking responsibility for Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh, Valor Hospitality has 85 managed hotels worldwide, spanning IHG, Marriott, Hilton and independent luxury brands.

Scottish hospitality sector sees surge in investment

The 240-bed, four-star hotel in Edinburgh city center is both the first Courtyard-branded hotel in the Valor Hospitality portfolio and the last Marriott brand to be managed by the company since the launch of the first two AC by Marriott hotels. in the UK back in 2016.
