Event signs Rydges Hotels in Sydney and Perth

Event Hospitality has signed an agreement with High Street Holdings to manage two new hotels, Rydges Perth King Square and Rydges North Sydney.

The Rydges brand will return to Perth at the six-year-old CBD property currently known as Peppers King Square. The 120-bedroom hotel, which includes a gym, restaurant, bar and conference facilities, will be rebranded Rydges.

High Street Holdings recently purchased the Rydges North Sydney property from Event and handed over management of the hotel to the group. It will be rebranded as The Miller Hotel as part of EVENT’s independent collection, below the classic level. The hotel will undergo a complete renovation of the bedrooms, conference rooms, bar, restaurant and public areas.

The latest signings build on Event’s working relationship with High Street Holdings, which includes a partnership on Brisbane’s Kennigo Hotel, which the property firm acquired as Mantra Richmont around 12 months ago and renamed Event’s Independent Collection.

“Event is delighted to further develop the partnership with High Street Holdings and welcome these exceptional properties to our growing portfolio of hotels and resorts,” said Norman Arundel, Director of Hotel and Resort Operations, Event Hospitality. and Entertainment.

“We look forward to working with the incredible local teams to amplify these hotels and provide our guests with the unique local hotel experience they expect from our brands.”

“We appreciate Event’s personalized local approach to hotel management, which has given an impressive start with the Kennigo Hotel, Brisbane.”
